What is Online Coaching?

With online coaching you are in contact with your coach every (working)day by using email. Through the reflective process of writing, major changes can occur in a relatively short period of time.

Themes that can be succesfully adressed with Online Coaching are, for example: improvement in work or life, a change of course , the need for better insight in yourself or relationships with others.

How does Online Coaching work?

With Online Coaching you'll have email-contact with your coach every day*. Every email you write, will be read seriously and thoroughly and will be answered soon. This reply will contain feedback, questions to clarify or elaborate a certain subject or assignments.

During the coaching-process we pay attention to thoughts, behaviour as well as emotions, since these 3 elements are closely connected. By noticing and elaborating these 3 elements separately, a complex and often emotional situation can be brought back to it's core. This will lead to insight, peace and acceptance. As a result you'll be able to focus on the future again.

All email-correspondence will build up to a personal file, that can always be consulted to adress future themes.

* Your coach will reply to your email within 24 hours at working days (Monday to Friday) between 9 am and 5.30 pm. Of course, you can write at any time that is convenient for you

Working Method

Van der Hooft - Coaching uses a structured 4-fase model for Online Coaching. The different fases can overlap during the coaching-process:

  1. What is your current situation?
  2. How did this situation originate?
  3. What can you do differently?
  4. How will you do that?

Online Coaching Tracks

We offer different Online Coaching Tracks, varying from 1 to 5 weeks. In consultation with you, we'll make agreements about the duration and intensity of the track. More information about the Online Coaching Tracks, please have a look at the Costs page.

Evidence Based

Online Coaching derives from Internet Therapy. Meanwhile, lot of experience has been gained with this form of therapy and research has shown that Internet Therapy offers a larger chance to recovery than face-to-face therapy. For further information (in Dutch) I refer to the Trimbosinstituut.
